About Mrs. Lane

Hi, everyone!  My name is Kim Lane, and I am so excited to join the FVES staff as your child's kindergarten teacher.  I grew up in eastern North Carolina, and my family currently lives in Willow Spring.  I have been an educator 30 years--serving as a K-2 classroom teacher, school administrator, Reading Recovery teacher, Global Literacy teacher, and Reading Intervention teacher.  Teaching has always been a joy and a passion of mine--but my heart smiles when I enter a kindergarten classroom.  Kindergarten is my most favorite grade to teach!  

I am a National Board Certified teacher in the Early Childhood Generalist area.  I hold a BA degree in Art and K-6 Elementary Education Certification from Meredith College and a Master's degree in School Administration from East Carolina University.  I am a licensed 

K-12 Reading Specialist and was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and Principal Fellow.
